Oh my goodness! This place is the best for a hungry family. We typically order ahead after Sunday mass and feed a crowd with gorditas. Everyone is content with lip-smacking good flavors. If you love spicy food you must try the rajas con queso. Delicious!

My mom recently came over to my house to visit me. She brought gorditas de harina (flour-based gorditas) for lunch. They had ground beef and potatoes inside of them. They were HUGE! I couldn't even finish one! I guess the gordita became so juicy because it easily fell apart when I tried to eat it with my hands. It was a hot mess! Lol. I decided to get a fork to eat it after awhile. I have to say my dog really enjoyed it, too! La Gordibuena also offers corn based gorditas. I think this is something newer. The last time I went, they only had flour based gorditas. I prefer corn based gorditas. They don't break as easily as the flour. I also like the texture more. That's what I've been used to eating at grandma's house for many years, too. Less carbs too! Overall, the meat and potatoes mixed together tasted pretty good. It was a tiny bit bland but not that bad. I thought about adding a little bit of salt but I didn't. My mom also gave me some avocado but I didn't try it. IDK, I just wasn't in the mood for it at that time. As weird as it sounds, I also wasn't in the mood for any chile, either. Not sure if they offer cheese...I'm sure they do! What would any Mexican food be without cheese?? My mom also brought me a lemonade. It was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet or sour. It also had plenty of ice in it which I liked. I'm interested in trying their corn based gorditas the next time I go. Overall, a pretty good experience. The food came to me really warm which was a plus for sure! A meal with mom is always priceless, no matter what it is. I always enjoy catching up with my mom and watching something fun on TV. I'll have to take pics next time.

I had a pastor and a barbacoa. The gordita shells themselves were quite good and obviously fresh. Prices were decent. I really liked the pastor. It was cooked in a red chili sauce that really worked well with the pork. The barbacoa was flavorless and very wet, so much so that it disintegrated the shell. But they ended up being good food for the car and did not take an obscenely long time to come out after ordering. Eating there would be okay. It's larger than it looks from the outside, so there is a lot of space, and it feels relatively clean.
